Chief Information Officer - AsiaPac

Member of the Executive Group, responsible for technology strategy, development, operations and support of all Computershare companies operating across Oceania/AsiaPac. Accountable for operational and capital technology budgets that support revenues of ~AU$500m and ‘000's staff. This posting required significant technology services transformation in response to a digital strategy, combined with increased regulatory and compliance demands following the 2008 Financial Crisis.

We independently measured our maturity and went about introducing ITIL disciplines into every layer of Product Development, Infrastructure Delivery, Operational Services and Support. We introduced more formal but agile project management disciplines, increased our delivery cadence, ramping up to deliver 250+ projects each year. Through such change we improved our Risk, Audit and Compliance controls consistently achieving all requirements from both regulators and clients.

Global Development Manager - Enterprise Applications

Following significant inorganic growth of Computershare Issuer Services globally I was brought in with a charter to implement standard platforms in all countries that Computershare was operating. Leadership of several development and business implementation teams covering CRM, CDBoR, Finance and Enterprise productivity tools.

Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Strategy – migrate all CRM repositories, across all countries, business lines, and tools onto one new global platform. Setup of teams, tools, environment and deployment strategy.

Database of Record (DBoR) – during the early stages of our CRM strategy, I was assigned additional responsibility to take over the teams managing the global design and deployment of new digital/web based Company and Investor DBoR platforms.

Management Information Systems – following the main deployments for the above two initiatives I took ownership of the teams managing global platforms that support our shared service groups such as; Enterprise Financial and Human Resource Management Systems.

The software helps businesses design, build, and manage processes that integrate people, procedures, systems, and processes. In 2004, TIBCO acquired Staffware. During my time I worked for both Staffware UK and Australian implementor Tower Technology (later acquired by Vignette/OpenText).

In Australia, Boeing provided new builds, maintenance and upgrades on various mission-critical defense infrastructure. Boeing hired me when I was still at College, I worked on weekends performing various systems maintainance on Sun Micrososystems and VAX/VMS. Post graduating I was transferred to Operations for some real blooding on defence 'Engineering to build' programs, then returned the to Technology Deivision where I focussed on Software Development.

Information Technology Specialist

Uni Intern within internal Technology Division, responsible for maintenance work on Unix based and VMS platforms.

Post Graduation, I transitioned to the Manufacturing Division Planning and Delivery group and worked on the largest complex defense contracts at the time, including the Collins Class Submarines build and F111 Upgrades.

I returned to Technology Division, ultimately responsible for software development and maintanance of the MRP/ERP solution, as well as developing custom software applications for the finance and manufacturing divisions.
